Cinemoms invites new mothers to enjoy a well-deserved, stress-free film entertainment experience with their babies under two years old. Worried about bringing your baby to the movies? Don't be. At Cinemoms, the theater's sound system is turned down slightly, and the house lights remain on. Strollers may be watched by the staff, or may be kept in the aisles. This is the Foundation's way of showing our appreciation for new mothers. It's also a great opportunity for us to meet our future volunteers. Admission is free, but donations to the Foundation are always welcome. This program is conducted as time permits and is announced a week in advance through our email distribution list.
The Community Theatre Foundation's Casablanca Club program provides seniors in our community with free showings of classic films. This is the Foundation's way of thanking our seniors for their dedication to our community over the years. Seniors are welcome to bring their loved ones to the Casablanca Club shows.
The Foundation believes that if young people are given the opportunity to channel their creativity and enthusiasm in a positive way, the outcome might just amaze us all. That's why we've created Filmscool to introduce young people living in the inner-city to the world of filmmaking. Children are provided with Cameras of their own and encouraged to make films that "tell a story." They learn all aspects of filmmaking from the actual production of the film to the skill of editing their work. The films are showcased at the Community Theatre.
